Jennifer Klein
Jennifer Klein, physical therapist, graduated from the University
of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas with her Bachelor's of Physical
Therapy in 1987. She has practiced as a physical therapist in Houston
for the past 20 years. Jennifer's professional, clinical focus has
be-en in cardiac rehab and orthopedics. Jennifer has worked for several
physician groups as well as large corporations.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, American
College of Sports Medicine, and Houston Racing Triathlon Club.
She has an extensive history as a gymnast and as a gymnastics coach and
currently enjoys running and doing triathlons! She is a Certified Pilates
instructor and a Certified Strength and Conditioning coach. Currently
she works as physical therapist at Harper Wellness and Rehab Center, a
chiropractic and physical therapy clinic, owned by Dr. Dana Harper, chiropractor
for the Astros and Texans.
Sandy Wood
Sandy Wood, graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama with
her Bachelor’s of Biomedical Sciences
in 2004. While attending Auburn, she served as team captain of the
college soccer team and achieved All-American status. She is currently
a Nursing student at Houston Baptist University
and will graduate in 2008. She is an active member of Nurses
Association and is a Certified CPR instructor.
She works in physical therapy
with Jennifer at Harper Wellness and Rehab Center. She enjoys running
and weight lifting activities.
Kristi Shotwell
Kristi Shotwell is currently a senior at Rice University
working on her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Sports Medicine.
She will graduate in 2008 and will continue on to physical therapy school. She
has a strong background in human and exercise physiology.
While attending high school, Kristi
was a member of the volleyball, basketball, softball, and track teams. Kristi
currently works in physical therapy with Jennifer and Sandy at Harper Wellness
and Rehab Center. She enjoys running, cycling, pilates, and weight lifting activities.
Doug Kelley
Doug Kelley graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Baylor
University in 2005. There, he played ice hockey and served as the captain of the club team. He has
also completed graduate work at Texas ATM in the field of exercise and sports physiology. His
primary interests are in athletic strength and conditioning along with sports rehab. He enjoys
running and weightlifting activities, along with numerous other recreational sports.
Paul Robbins
Paul Robbins, Metabolic Specialist, developed the IMETT metabolic
testing equipment in conjuction with a team of Brazilian
specialists. VO2 Max Houston utilizes IMETT to test and create personalized cardio periodization
programs. Paul graduated from Cortland State, New York with a Physical Education
degree with an Exercise Science emphasis. He is a Metabolic Specialist at Athletes' Performance
in Tempe, Arizona serving over 2000 professional athletes, as well as
a serving as a continuing education provider, presenter, and publisher.
